Welcome

We're just getting started with a new chapter of the Tender Bridge to serve the community of West Philadelphia.

What's Going on Now

We're sponsoring several children from the 52nd and Walnut area to play baseball free of charge in the program at the Sayre-Morris Recreation Center at 58th and Spruce. Also, our director is helping to coordinate the creation of a Double-Dutch (jump rope) league in cooperation with the city's Beacon program. We're looking into sending several of our Double-Dutch kids to a specialty camp in Tampa, Florida this summer as well as to several competitions and demonstrations in the region.

In the Future

We plan to connect at-risk kids from West Philadelphia to a ride range of activities including, but not limited to:

  • Squash
  • Horseback Riding
  • Polo
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Ice-Hockey
  • Rowing
  • Fencing
  • Boxing
  • Dance
  • Tennis
  • Ultimate Frisbee

What We Need

To put it simply: money and people. All donations are completely tax deductable. We greatly appreciate any donation you are able to make and we assure you that the money will be put to use efficiently. The Tender Bridge has an operating cost well below that of most non-profits.

Volunteers are always in need for our programs. The only requirements to volunteer are reliability and a dedication to the well being and protection of children. To make a commitment to The Tender Bridge Philadelphia please refer to the contact information to the left.
